Greetings from Stories by Stacy

Hello! It's been a while. Sorry to not be here yesterday and add a posting to this blog. However, I'm here now.

I am mostly settled in my new home in Omaha. It's been fun (not sarcastically speaking, but I'm serious) setting up a new home and combining two households in one. This is the first time my husband and I've been under the same roof. Therefore, it's quite nice. I not only love my husband, but I like him. So, it's been a while in coming but here we are.

Omaha is a great deal better than I anticipated and I had positive thoughts about the place beforehand. It's pretty, green, and hilly. I love the people, the community in which I live, and so on. It's a slower pace than Denver and I definitely love that facet. It's also nice to be near more Christians and patriots. Everyone is friendly and when you let a driver over in front of you, they actually wave and say thank you.

It took us a month to get some of our furniture (and we're still waiting on the last round to come in on Friday). But, the wait was worthwhile. The house is a sacred place and quite peaceful. It's a retreat and that matters more to me than anything else.

We got a kitten named Sinan (pronouced See-naw-n) on Sunday and have been enjoying him very much. He's a huge ham. He has no fear. He's vocal, follows us around, and comes when called. He's a lover and purrs loudly. It looks like I've got a good helper.

I really have not had time to miss Denver yet and I think that's a good thing.

My dad is coming out to visit next week, so I'll be a little out of the loop again. Sorry about that.

It looks like I have four books I'm working on at the moment, as far as writing goes:
1. A book on 1 Corinthians. It's a bible study, devotional, reference, journaling type of book. It's meant to be done individually or in a group. Non-fiction.
2. A book on journaling. I actually call it journalblogging. It's a combination of journaling and blogging where you get thoughts out on paper or in a blog. It forces us to realize that we miss most of life every day because of busyness. We need to slow down and try to process what we experience, think, feel, be intentional about living, plan and seek our goals every day or we miss life. We forget what's important. Non-fiction. It can be done individually or in a group.
3. Zeagar. Fiction. Sci-fi.
4. A book about if walls could talk. It's set in the future and is going to be an epic love story about a construction worker who helped built the arch in St. Louis. The construction worker is purely fiction, but I want to do a series about 'Building America,' and how everyone has a story and these stories build America as well as the hands that build the landmarks. Fiction.

Also, I need to edit and get ready for publication:
1. Cammi's Story
2. Demarcations

How are you? What's new with you? Let me know.

I'm Back

Greetings from Omaha.

I'm back and will start to blog again tomorrow afternoon. Thank you for your patience.

By the way, I have a new kitten. He's an orange tabby, named Sinan (pronounced: See-naw-n). Sinan is a good lion name. He acts like a lion and looks like one in a way. Sinan means spearhead. So, get ready for tales of the adventurous one.

How are you? What's new with you? Drop me a line and let me know.

See You in August

I will try to write some blog postings whenever I am able. However, plan on me taking a hiatus until August. Then, look out! I will blog daily once again.

I'm moving at the beginning of July and will take a while to set up my house. Then, I'm going to join some time off with my best friend and hubby before our lives get quite busy. Moving from Denver and going to Omaha.

I hope all is well with you. Take care.

Prayer, Horses, & the USA by Stacy Duplease of Stories by Stacy

Prayer
I've been saving the biggest and most important facet for change for a while and want to share it now. I bet you can guess my answer. Prayer.

God changes things man never could.

God is greater.

If our country stands a chance, we need to pray.

We need to humble ourselves--AND pray.

Can we devote 15 minutes a day to pray for our nation and 15 for the world? 30 minutes each? An hour each? After all, we are to pray without ceasing. Is anything more important?

We are free, mostly, in the USA to pray and read our Bibles (in private). If our country keeps going in the direction we're moving, that will no longer be the case. Hence, isn't important to pray now?

Think about it.

Horses
I just heard a disturbing report on FOX News. Al Qaeda are now using horses to deliver explosives. Horses. You heard me. Horses. I'm disturbed and quite saddened by it, but not surprised. Terrorists are the ultimate definition of depravity. (Yet, our country now says they deserves the rights that citizens of the USA must be born with in order to acquire.)

If this does not prove that we need to fight terrorism, then what does? They do similar things with babies, women, and anyone they disagree with.

If this does not call us to prayer for our country and world, then what does?

This is our wake up call. Yet again. How many more do we need before we call for a change and also change our thinking.

Pray.

Our nation is dying in values and people need to take a stand and unite for these values.

Want to Form a Prayer Group?
Let me know. I would love to get more to join me in this fight of reclaiming our country for Christ.

How to Bring Change to the United States of America

When I refer to changing the USA, I'm referring to:
1. EVERYONE, without exception, voting. Not a mandatory vote, but one of choice. Every vote matters and makes a difference for the good and the bad.
2. Writing editorials.
3. Writing letters/emails and making phone calls to your congressmen, Senators, and Representatives for your state. Tell them what you approve of and what you disprove of regarding the job they are doing and have done.
4. Watch or read the news. Keep updated. Don't refuse to be updated because it's too frightening. The only way we can fully know the status of our country and government is to stay informed.
5. Never, ever, ever think that you can't make a difference. It's a lie we tell ourselves so we can stop feeling negatively about our inaction or denial.
6. Send emails to your friends regarding the news since they might not know what's going on. Tell them.
7. Blog.
8. Believe in your country.

Reclaim Our Country for Christ by Stacy Duplease of Stories by Stacy

We need to reclaim the United States of America for Christ. We need to stop cowering down to the world and remember that we are in this world but not of it.

We need to take a stand on what's right and not go along with the majority. Just because a majority believes something, it does not mean they are right.

We need to be a rebel against the world and the darkness thereof, and lack of values, and take a stand in God.

The USA was set up for following Christ. Remember?

We need to stop watering down our faith, or the standards of this nation, because we're afraid of offending someone. News flash, someone will always be offended. We should care more about offending our God than people.

Take a stand. Quit being a coward, quite going with the flow, and say what's wrong and how it goes against the Bible.

Be strong. Be strong in the Lord. And, get America to be strong again and not watered down.

Let's reclaim our nation's values.

Let's retake our nation.

Take a stand and do what's right--individually and nationally.

Some changes are evil and destroy.

Reclaim the USA.

The Destruction of America

I got this quote from a friend on Twitter:

America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves.

-- Abraham Lincoln

I'm Tired

I'm tired. I don't know about you. I'm tired of watching, reading, or hearing the news about the United States of America's values and foundations being diminished and destroyed.

I'm tired of people not thinking about what their vote really means.

I'm tired of people not voting for that matter.

I'm tired of people sitting around and complaining about the USA falling apart, but not doing anything about it.

I'm tired of people saying how they support our troops, yet they don't support the war they fight.

I'm tired of Christians not taking a stand for the United States.

I'm tired of watching the values of our country get worse in severe increments daily.

I'm tired of people saying they support our country, but they have no idea about the real foundations upon which this country was built.

I'm tired of Americans doing everything they can can to ensure another 9/11 rather than preventing it.

How about you? What are you tired of regarding about the patriotism of our country? Send me a comment attached to this blog or an email to: storiesbystacy@gmail.com

I want to stand and fight for my country. How about you?

Purpose of This Blog:
To talk about what the USA is supposed to be, our military, the war, the government, voting, and anything else that is part of patriotism. It's about reclaiming American and the Christian values of the nation. It's about a real discussion of the issues.

I want it to be interactive. So, please email me or add comments to each blog.

Warnings:
If you don't want to think or address the issues, you might want to not read this blog.

I'm a conservative Christian who supports the military and the Global War on Terror (GWOT) 100% and no less. Hence, if I might offend you too deeply, please stop reading. Although, I would love your discussion. It's up to you. Just know where I stand and where this blog leans. I really have no desire to upset anyone. But, I do want to get us all to think, me included.

Prayer Requests:
If you have any about our country, our military, the GWOT, our government, etc., please send them my way. Let me know if you want them private or to be posted on this site.

Thank You:
Thank you for tuning in to this blog.
